Du Côté de Chez Marc is a gay guest house in Toulouse, in the Saint-Simon district on the west side of the city. It is a cluster of traditional Toulouse brick houses with painted shutters and wisteria, set around a garden with a swimming pool and a hot tub.
There are three rooms. Cabanon is a wooden pavilion painted white, with a desk, a large shower room and a door straight out to the hot tub. Frida Kahlo sits in an alcove off the shared lounge, has a large TV and sleeps up to three. Baroque has a blue velvet bed, a small desk by the window and its own shower room.
The pool is open to guests throughout their stay. Local men can also come for an afternoon by appointment on a pool pass that includes a soft drink, a beer or a glass of wine, so the garden is a place to meet people as well as to rest.
