BREAK Free NAT HOME is a maison d'hôtes at Thuré, in the hamlet of La Guittière in the north of the Vienne, roughly halfway between Tours and Poitiers and a few minutes from Châtellerault. It describes itself as a gay naturist guesthouse, and it flies the rainbow flag in its own profile name.
Guests get rooms in the house and the run of a large garden with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. The garden is the point of the place: lawn, a covered terrace to sit under, planting, statues and furniture built out of pallets, with a hand-painted board carrying the name at the entrance.
It is not only a place to sleep. The house puts on naturist evenings in the garden, paella among them, and it hosts Fiertés Rurales, a Pride for the countryside rather than the city.
