La Ferme des Entremains is a chambres d'hôtes in a fully restored 18th-century farmhouse at Mardore, part of Thizy-les-Bourgs in the green hills of the Haut-Beaujolais, among meadows and woods. The whitewashed front has stone corners, deep red shutters and a curved glass canopy over the door.
There are three guest rooms, Le Rouet, Les Sabots and La Fourmilière. Le Rouet is 20 square metres with a 160 bed, its own bathroom and its own entrance.
Breakfast is served in the shared living room, with dairy from the farm, eggs, home-made jam and local honey, and dinner at the table d'hôtes can be booked a day ahead. The inner courtyard looks out to the Forez mountains. Cyclists, motorcyclists, pilgrims and riders are all welcome: there is a garage for bikes, and horses can spend the night in the fields. The Lac des Sapins is under 10 km away, Roanne 26 km and Lyon 65 km. Pets are not accepted.
