Le Schluch is a bierstub on Rue de l'Outre and one of the older addresses in Strasbourg's queer scene. The room has kept its dark woodwork with floral carving, and the counter sits in the middle rather than along a wall, which is what makes it easy to end up talking to whoever is standing next to you.
The beer is local and served from the tap. The crowd is mostly regulars, a little older, leaning bear. The bar describes itself in one line as a traditional beer bar open to everyone and friendly to dogs, and it puts the rainbow and trans flags on that same line.
There is a small terrace outside for the summer. Most people treat it as an early stop before moving on to somewhere louder.
