L'Écrin de Soligny is a longère from 1830, fully renovated, in Soligny-les-Étangs, a village in the west of the Aube a few minutes from Nogent-sur-Seine and Provins. The house takes guests in two ways: a self-catering gîte for up to five people and a single guest room for two. It sits back from the road behind a wide lawn and tall conifers, with open fields beyond.
The gîte has its own entrance and about 70 square metres. Downstairs is a bright living room looking onto the garden, with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a sofa bed, a flat-screen TV and a table football, plus a shower room with a walk-in shower. Upstairs is a suite with its own bathroom and corner bath, and a single bed and a desk in a sleeping nook. It is classed three épis by Gîtes de France and three stars as a furnished tourist rental. Bed linen and towels are included and the beds are made on arrival.
The guest room is about 20 square metres, with a double bed, a private shower room and breakfast each morning. Dinner at the owners' table is cooked from local produce and has to be booked ahead.
Outside there is a private terrace with loungers, a barbecue and a plancha, a boules court, and a large enclosed garden shared with the owners, who live on the property. Parking is inside the grounds, and pets are welcome.
