ZanzyBar is a dance bar on rue de la Résistance, in the middle of Saint-Étienne. Disco balls hang from the ceiling and the walls carry portraits of public figures who took a stand.
The list runs to wine, beer and liqueurs alongside cocktails named after cult films and television series, and there are sharing boards to eat. DJ sets and karaoke nights come round regularly.
The bar describes itself as friendly and humanist, open to anyone who wants a drink, something to eat and a good night out. The crowd is queer and mixed, and it is one of the places the city's LGBTQ+ scene gathers.
