Bubbles Sauna Club

Bubbles is the only sauna club on Réunion. It sits on the corner of Boulevard de la Providence and Rue Ave Maria in Saint-Denis, a few minutes from Boulevard Jean-Jaurès, and runs over two levels with a dry zone and a wet zone.

The sauna and the hammam each hold about twenty people. The jacuzzi, which the club calls the largest on the island, holds twenty as well and is decorated with work by the street artist JACE. There is a large terrace with drinks and snack machines, a locked changing room, and a set of quieter corners indoors. Towels and a wrap are handed out at the door. No alcohol is served.

Two days a week are gay days, men only. The rest of the week the club is a mixed libertine sauna, with couples nights and women's nights, so it is worth checking the agenda on the website before going.

The house rules are blunt on two points: discrimination against LGBTQ+ guests gets you thrown out, and so does pestering anyone who has said no.
