Le Lézard Bleu is a gay naturist chambres d'hôtes at Saint-Créac in the Gers, near Lectoure, on 6,000 square metres of south-facing ground. It takes its name from the small lizards that sun themselves on the terrace and from the Lectoure blue of its shutters, and its logo is a blue lizard holding a rainbow flag.
The three rooms, Mykonos, Abricot and Istanbul, are in the old wine stores of a former estate, each with a 160 bed, and a wooden roulotte in the garden makes a fourth. The main building is single-storey and wraps round a bright patio under a large glass roof, with a giant philodendron, built-in bookshelves, a reading corner upstairs and an infrared sauna tucked out of sight.
The naturist pool has a translucent telescopic cover and is heated in spring and autumn. There is an old pigeon tower, a summer kitchen with a picnic table, and breakfast on the terrace. Dinner is cooked on request rather than as a matter of course, massages can be booked with a practitioner who comes to the house, and walkers without a car can be collected.
