The Old Presbytery is a guesthouse in a restored 18th-century presbytery at Saint-André-et-Appelles, in the Bordeaux countryside near Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and about 30 minutes from Bergerac. Its grounds hold an orchard and cedar trees around 300 years old.
There are five rooms, Dordogne, Gironde, Chapelle, Cèdre and St. André, from 18 to 26 m², each with a super king-size bed that can be split into twins, an en-suite bathroom and a view of the pool or the courtyard. A 50 m² apartment for three has two terraces over the orchard and the pool.
The heated saltwater pool has a counter-current swim machine, and there is a yoga studio in a converted pigsty, a gym, an infrared sauna, massages and e-bikes. Home-cooked seasonal dinners are served, the house runs wellness retreats, and dogs are welcome everywhere except at the pool.
