Domaine des Graviers is a small holiday estate in Plainfaing, in the Hautes Vosges, with three self-catering gîtes and two guest rooms. The grounds cover about 7,000 square metres and run along the Meurthe river.
The gîtes come in three sizes. Le Gérardmer sleeps seven in two bedrooms, with a fireplace in the dining room and a private terrace; La Schlucht is a little smaller, and Le Col du Bonhomme takes up to fifteen, which makes it the one for groups. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and its own barbecue. The two guest rooms, L'Ours Blanc and L'Ours Brun, share a shower room kept for the two of them, and breakfast is included. The whole estate can also be booked privately, and there are pitches for camper vans.
There is a covered, heated pool, a pond with fish and water lilies, a pétanque court, table tennis, table football and a play area for children. Breakfast, Vosges dishes and drinks are served on site, and regional products are sold to take away. Dogs are welcome in the gîtes but not in the guest rooms.
The main house is painted yellow and sits behind an iron gate, with rhododendrons along the lawn and a swing bench beside the pond.
