La Champmeslé is one of the oldest lesbian bars in Paris, open on Rue Chabanais since the early 1970s. A blue-painted facade with a neon sign and climbing roses marks the entrance.
The bar has hosted cabaret and drag performances over the years, alongside its everyday trade as a neighbourhood bar for women and the wider queer community.
