Le Steamer

Le Steamer is the gay sauna of Nantes and the largest in the west of France, 650 square metres on rue Baron in the middle of the city. It is men only.

There is a Finnish sauna, a hammam, a pool, a jacuzzi and showers, and a labyrinth of narrow red-lit corridors with closed cabins off it. A bar and lounge sits between the wet areas for when you want to stop and look around instead.

The house rules are short and enforced: adults only, a towel from the door and nothing else, respect towards other guests and staff, and phones only at the bar and in the smoking room. Naturist sessions are a fixed part of the week.
