About

NOSIG is the LGBTQIA+ centre of Nantes, on rue Magdeleine on the Île de Nantes. Four associations founded it as a collective in 1993, and it now federates sixteen of them with around two hundred members. The name it took in 2017 stands for Nos Orientations Sexuelles et Identités de Genre.

The centre takes in LGBTI+ people facing discrimination, or with questions about their health, their rights or their family situation, and people claiming asylum in France on grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity. Alongside that it runs prevention and information work on sexually transmitted infections, HIV, depression and suicide risk, campaigns for equal rights, and puts on social events so that people have somewhere to be.

It organises the Nantes Pride and co-runs CinéPride, the city's LGBTQIA+ film festival. It belongs to the Fédération LGBTI+ and to Inter-LGBT.

For a visitor it is the place to ask the things the bars cannot answer.
