Le Coxx has been Montpellier's central LGBTQIA+ bar since 2014. It sits on a narrow pedestrian street in the Saint-Roch quarter, a few steps from Place Saint-Come, and puts a small terrace out on the street.
DJ sets run at the weekend and drag shows come round through the year. The crowd is mixed and mostly local. The room is small, so it fills fast, and since the city lost its dedicated gay nightclub this is where a night out usually starts and often where it stays.
