Maison des Monts Bleus is a guest house and restaurant d'hôte in the hamlet of Les Calès, above Saint-Roman-de-Tousque in the Cévennes, between Saint-Jean-du-Gard and Florac. It calls itself an LGBT house and says it welcomes every adult, LGBT and straight, men and women alike.
There are three bedrooms upstairs, painted in ochre and blue with Cévenol wooden furniture and views over the mountains and the valley towards Mont Aigoual. They share a large bathroom with a shower and a bath. Breakfast is included, with homemade jams, spiced cake and fresh bread, taken on the terrace or inside, and a jacuzzi on the terrace comes with the room.
The table d'hôtes cooks dishes from Brazil, India and Thailand with local and organic produce, and the house keeps a large cellar of wines and rums. It also runs its own gatherings: gay evenings with a banquet and the jacuzzi under the stars, a gay naturist picnic by the river, drag queen parties and a Sunday brunch.
