Sauna Blue Club is Metz's only gay sauna, ideally located just a short walk from the city's main railway station in the heart of the Gare quarter. Spread across more than 160 square metres, the venue offers a welcoming, well-equipped space designed for relaxation and socialising among men.
The facilities include a Finnish sauna and a hammam with a modern steam generator, chromotherapy lighting and a fragrance diffuser. Guests can cool off in a cold shower and freshen up in mineral-toned wet rooms with three warm showers. Seven private cabins cater to a range of preferences, including a sling, a gynaecological chair and glory holes, alongside a dedicated play room featuring a large bed, a Saint Andrew's cross and a video screen. A massage table is available on request.
The bar is a social focal point of the venue, where three soft drinks and unlimited still or sparkling water are included in the entry price. Guests can relax on sofas, use the smoking cabin or follow the latest venue news via Blue Club TV.
On arrival, each guest receives a large towel, a locker key and complimentary condoms and lubricant. Flip-flops are available on request. The venue is fully accessible for guests with reduced mobility and is strictly adults-only (18 and over).
The Blue Club also hosts regular themed events once a month, including the popular Underwear Carnaval Party, which extend opening hours until midnight. A loyalty card programme rewards returning guests with discounts and a complimentary entry on their birthday week.
The venue is a member of SNEG and ENIPSE, and works closely with AIDeS Lorraine, hosting quarterly health prevention sessions on site covering HIV and STI testing, condom distribution and health information.

The main reason I went here was because it is the only place that actually has information on their website about accessibility, a lot of other saunas do not.
With this in mind, I knew that I was able to enjoy the facilities.
There is a small lip to get up at the front door, however that was easy enough to deal with.
When I arrived, the owner made sure that I knew it was a gay sauna to ensure I was happy to purchase an entry pass.
The layout of the venue is great and makes it easy to get around, and wide enough to fit myself in my wheelchair as well as other people walking past me.
There are also numerous floor mats which help to ensure that people don't slip.
There is a lip to get into the sauna, but using my crutches I was able to deal with that.
The other customers are respectful and will leave you to do your own thing, unfortunately I don't speak French so there was a bit of a language barrier, but everyone seemed nice.
The only thing that I was weirded out by was that there's a small smoking room, this is within the lounge area, so there was smoke smell. It wasn't too bad, but was noticeable especially being a non smoker and coming from the UK where there has been an indoor public smoking ban since 2007.
But, I did enjoy myself, was able to relax in the sauna and steam room.
When I'm back this way, I will definitely be coming back.
