La Villa de Mazamet is a bed and breakfast in a former private house built in 1934, set in a walled, landscaped garden with views over the Montagne Noire. The house dates from Mazamet's wool-industry heyday and was built for a local accountant; a third floor was added to it after the fact so it would not be outdone by a neighbour's new house.
It has four air-conditioned guest rooms, each around 25 square metres, with ensuite bathrooms, original parquet floors and an individual marble fireplace. Two Superior Double/Twin rooms sit on the first floor with flexible bedding, and two Superior Balcony rooms face south with mountain views. Breakfast uses fresh, local produce, and a table d'hôtes dinner is available some evenings, with a starter, main course, cheese course and dessert.
In the basement there is a small spa with a sauna, jacuzzi and massages, and the garden has a swimming pool, deckchairs and a gazebo.
