Café la Muse is a café, bar and brasserie on a corner of Rue de Lodi in Notre-Dame-du-Mont, a short walk from Cours Julien. Yellow awnings carry its name along both sides of the building, and rattan bistro chairs line the pavement underneath.
In the morning it is a café, with specialty coffee and brunch. At lunch it works as a brasserie, cooking from seasonal, mostly local produce, with vegetarian dishes on the menu. In the evening the kitchen switches to street-food-style small plates, and the bar pours natural wine and house cocktails.
Inside there are two rooms, and the terrace seats around 60. Dogs are welcome, the café is accessible by self-propelled wheelchair, and tables can be booked online.
Now and then the café throws its own parties on the terrace, with DJs and Marseille's queer collectives.
