Le Trou is a men-only gay cruising club on Rue Romarin, at the foot of the Croix-Rousse slopes and a short walk from Place des Terreaux. It has been running for more than twenty years and describes itself as the place where modesty, chastity and shyness get left at the coat check.
The space runs over two floors: a maze, individual cabins, slings, Saint Andrew's crosses, backrooms, glory holes and video points. There is a coat check and a smoking area. No alcohol is served.
Themed nights are the structure of the week, with naked and underwear evenings and occasional buffets. The agenda on the club's own site is the thing to check before going.
