Broc Bar is a neighbourhood bistro on Rue Lanterne in the Terreaux quarter that has been part of Lyon's gay scene since 2005. The Lyon Tourist Office lists it among the city's LGBTQ+ addresses.
The terrace is the reason most people come. It sits under a large mulberry tree, shaded in summer and supplied with blankets in winter, and it fills up early. Inside is small.
The crowd is mixed in age and orientation, more regulars than visitors, and it works as a coffee stop as much as a bar. It is a starting point rather than a destination for a night out.
