Le Nid d'Iroise is a bed and breakfast in Lanildut, on the western edge of Finistère, facing the Iroise Sea and the island of Ouessant. The house is a stone farmhouse that the owners bought in 1998 and have restored since. There are two guest rooms, one on the ground floor with a balneotherapy bath and a Japanese-influenced interior, the other decorated on a polar theme with a second bathroom and an annexe cabin for families. Breakfast is included and guests can use the kitchen.
Away from the house there are cabins built up in the trees, added in 2007, and a separate wooden gîte. A Finnish sauna is on the property, and massages can be booked as an extra.
The garden is the main thing here. It was a bare field before the owners planted it, and the house says it now holds around 300 species from several continents, laid out to be walked through rather than looked at. A white cockatoo lives on the property. Le Conquet and the ferry to Ouessant are about twenty kilometres away and Brest a little further.
