Maison d'hôtes Le Parc is a five-room guest house run by a male couple in Labruguière, between Castres and Mazamet in the Tarn. The house is a tall pale maison de maître with shutters, and it stands in its own wooded park of 1.2 hectares in the middle of the village, which is the whole point of the address: cedars and lawn on every side and the village a short walk away. The owners call it a haven of peace in the centre of the village.
There are four rooms and a suite, all air conditioned, all with a private bathroom with two basins, a walk-in shower and a separate WC. Héra looks east over the village and the park, Oscar south over the park, Jungle west and south towards the garden and the mountains, and Saurimonde north and west over the park. The Suite Le Parc is the largest, with a sitting room and a sofa bed alongside the bedroom. One room takes a dog by arrangement and another can take a child's bed.
There is an outdoor pool in the park, open in season, a shared sitting room, a bar in the garden and free private parking. Breakfast comes with the room and there is a table d'hôtes in the evening, booked in advance, so dinner is at one table with the other guests.
The house sits in the Haut-Languedoc regional park, about ten kilometres from Castres, and it is a base for walking in the Montagne Noire and the Sidobre.
