Domaine La Source des Fées is a wine estate in Fuissé, in the Mâconnais just south of Mâcon, that lets rooms in a 16th-century stone house in the village. A natural spring runs through its ornamental garden.
There are five rooms and suites, each with its own bathroom and decorated in a traditional Burgundy style. Three are doubles, one of them with a dressing room and two with an extra single bed. The two suites add a sitting room or a second bedroom with twin beds, which suits families or friends travelling together. Breakfast is included, and a table d'hôtes dinner of regional cooking can be booked.
Guests have a private salon with a library, board games and a piano. The estate sells its own wines alongside bottles from friends' domaines in Monthélie, Beaune, Saint-Amour and Fleurie, and a small shop stocks local produce. Dogs are accepted, parking is private and the hosts speak English.
