L'Eure & L'Étang is a chambres d'hôtes with a table d'hôtes in a restored longère, a long farmhouse from the 1850s, in the village of Écluzelles near Dreux. The river Eure runs past the property, and the lake of Mézières-Écluzelles, a protected Natura 2000 site of about 110 hectares, is close by.
There are four rooms. Lavande & Tournesol and Coquelicot are on the ground floor with their own door to the garden, each sleeping three. Romantique, upstairs, is for two and has a small sitting area. Savane is a family suite for up to six, with a second bedroom and a landing lounge it shares with Romantique. Every room has its own bathroom.
Dinner at the table d'hôtes is served course by course, from aperitif to coffee, and the eggs come from the house's own hens. Breakfast brings homemade yoghurt, fresh bread and pastries. The garden has loungers and a ping-pong table, and bicycles are lent free to guests.
