Le Domaine Magique is a gay-only guesthouse in the hills above Draguignan, in the middle of the Var. Its own site calls it a maison d'hotes Gay Only avec piscine and keeps the house men-only so that guests are left in peace.
There are six rooms, one of them a suite, named after villages in the surrounding country. Breakfast is included, and lunch or dinner can be booked at a shared table; the cooking is Mediterranean with Argentine dishes among it.
The grounds are wooded and laid out with four terraces, seating in the garden and a petanque court. There is a heated outdoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. Around the pool the house is naturist, and clothing is optional rather than discouraged everywhere else.
Draguignan is a few minutes down the hill, and the Gorges du Verdon, the hill villages of the Haut Var and the coast are all within a drive.
