Maison Pat et Dan is a chambre d'hôtes in a villa in the village centre of Dardilly, about 5 km north-west of Lyon. It lets one room, the Chambre Zen, with a double bed for two, and calls itself LGBT-friendly, with a rainbow flag on its own homepage.
The garden does most of the work. There is a Japanese corner with a stone lantern and bonsai, palms and banana plants, and a pool with a pale paved deck and loungers. The pool is covered, so it can be used through the season, and it is naturist.
A generous breakfast is served at a stone table on the terrace. Wifi and parking are free, and the city's buses and metro are within reach.
