La Villa d'Aigulus is a gay-friendly chambre d'hôtes in the hamlet of Éguilly, on the slope above Couches in the Couchois wine country. Chalon-sur-Saône and Autun are both about 25 km away.
There is one guest room. It sits half below ground, with a 1.40 m bed, a desk, a wardrobe and its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. The ceiling is 1.90 m high, and the hosts say plainly that it suits guests under 1.80 m. Being partly underground, it stays cool in summer without air conditioning.
Outside there is a pergola, a terrace and a lawn with hammocks and loungers, looking out over the vineyards and the valley. Breakfast is included and comes with jams made from the orchard fruit. A cat lives in the house, and guests' own pets are not accepted. Parking is on site.
