Le Macassar is a bed and breakfast in a restored historic townhouse on the Place de la République in Corbie, in the Somme valley of Picardy. The building keeps an old wine cellar, a walled courtyard garden and a billiard room on the top floor, and several of the six guest rooms are furnished with antiques and four-poster beds.
It sits close to the WWI battlefields and memorials of the Somme, and works as a base for visiting them as well as for weekends spent browsing the region's antique markets. Breakfast is served on site.
