QUEER Auvergne is the LGBTQIA+ association for Clermont-Ferrand and the country around it, and it has been going for more than twenty-five years. It describes itself as feminist and queer. Most of the work is rights work: advice, somebody to talk to, help getting to health and social services, and public campaigning.
It meets at the Centre associatif Jean Richepin, near the Bughes. There are regular open sessions, one of them for trans, queer and intersex people and one for women and people of minoritised genders, and the second is held without cis men in the room.
A good deal of the day to day runs through the association's Discord rather than the office, which is worth knowing if you are new in the city and want to find people before you turn up anywhere.
