Manoir de la Fieffe is a guest house in a sixteenth-century Norman manor on the heights above Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, at La Glacerie. The building is on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments, and it stands in a botanical park of four hectares where tree ferns and gunneras grow outdoors, which the mild Cotentin climate allows.
There are two suites and one room, all on the first floor and all looking onto the garden. Each has a bathroom with both a shower and a bath, and a separate lavatory. They are called Suite Sainte Croix du Mont, Suite Tocqueville and Chambre de l'Amiral.
Breakfast is served in a bright dining room, there is a library to sit and read in, and parking is private and enclosed at the foot of the manor with a fast charger for electric cars.
The same owners let two self-catering places in the grounds: a small house opposite the manor, and the Gîte des Fougères, which was the bakery. Cap de la Hague, the island of Tatihou and the landing beaches are all within a drive.
