Au Ciel Étoilé is a two-room bed and breakfast in Castillon-du-Gard, a hilltop village a few minutes from the Pont du Gard. The two rooms are called La Lune and Le Soleil. With only two of them, the house is quiet and guests are not sharing it with a crowd.
The private spa is the reason most people come. It has a hammam, a jacuzzi, an infrared cabin and a Finnish sauna, and it is booked for one party at a time rather than used in common. Massage and naturopathy treatments are available in the house.
The hosts live on site and run the place as a retreat for couples. Castillon-du-Gard itself is a walled medieval village in the vineyards north of Nîmes, and the aqueduct is a short drive away.
