La Conciergerie de Franck lets holiday houses across the Vaunage, the Pays de Sommières and the Petite Camargue, the stretch of Gard countryside between Nîmes and the Camargue coast. The business sits in Boissières and takes bookings for the houses on its own site.
There are nine properties and they are whole houses rather than rooms. They run from a cottage for four up to villas of 300 square metres and more that sleep twelve, most of them with a pool, and they include a converted wine cellar. The names are Villa Moka, La Villa du parc, La Source Cachée, Les Foudres, Le Murmure du Sud, La maison à Côté, Le Chai, Casa Boubou and La Petite Maison, and they stand in and around Calvisson, Aimargues and Sommières. Guests have the house and its kitchen to themselves, so this is self-catering.
The same business looks after the properties for the owners who hand it the keys: cleaning and preparing a house between stays, meeting guests when they arrive, and keeping an eye on the place out of season. Extras can be arranged for a stay, among them a cook who comes to the house, a driver and a babysitter.
