Le 49 is a men-only naturist guest house in Boissières, a village in the Gard about a quarter of an hour from Nîmes. Nudity is the rule across the whole of the property, and the house states plainly that it is for men.
It is not one building but a group of six houses. There is a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sunny patio and terrace, a billiard table, table football, a tea room and a room to lie down in. There is a backroom. A hall of about a hundred square metres holds a piano and mirrors and gets used for sport, dance and the occasional show.
Rooms, suites and dormitories are all let, there is a kitchen guests can use, and the hosts cook an evening meal. A gîte and a further room are available in the annexe.
Rue Basse is narrow, so the house asks guests to set a satnav for the Place du Temple rather than for the street itself.
