La Maison Léonard is a guesthouse in Bléré, in the Touraine, five minutes from the Château de Chenonceau and ten from the Clos Lucé at Amboise. The building is a maison de maître of 1907, stone-fronted, with wrought-iron balconies and a shaded garden behind it.
Five double rooms are let, ten guests at most. Each is done in a different period style: Louis XV, Empire, Louis Philippe, Louis XVI, and one the house calls the Secret Room. The bathrooms are modern, with walk-in showers.
Breakfast is included. Dinner at a shared table can be booked in advance on most evenings. Parking is in the closed courtyard and there is somewhere to lock a bicycle, which matters on this stretch of the Loire à Vélo. The house takes no pets, and no babies or young children. It calls itself a luxury guesthouse.
