Aiutu Corsu has worked against HIV and AIDS in Corsica since 1992. The association moved into its current offices on Rue Colomba in 2026.
Free, anonymous rapid HIV testing is done here, by appointment. Wider screening that also covers hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections runs through two dedicated centres, one in Ajaccio and one in Bastia. The association hands out condoms and information material, and carries guidance on PrEP.
Gay men are one of the groups it runs sexual health workshops for, and it does outreach on the dating apps rather than waiting for people to come to the office. Alongside the prevention work there is practical support for people living with HIV: someone to talk to, help with food and money, and help finding emergency accommodation.
Ajaccio has no gay bar and no sauna. For a visitor who wants a queer point of contact in the city, this is the address.
