Vino Vintti is the community space of Oulun SETA, the association that has worked for sexual and gender minorities in the city since 1986. It is on the fourth floor of a building on Pakkahuoneenkatu, in the middle of Oulu and a short walk from the Rotuaari pedestrian street, and it is shared with Oulu Pride and Transfeminiinit.
This is a meeting room rather than a bar or a café. Peer groups gather here: a youth group, a trans and gender group, an asexual group, a rainbow men's group, and craft and board game evenings. You do not have to be a member of the association to come to a group, and most of them take no registration at all. The space also holds open door days.
The association runs a support person service alongside the groups, with trained adult volunteers, and it works in English as well as Finnish.
