Fairytale is a small gay bar on Helsinginkatu in Kallio. You ring a doorbell to get in and the windows are papered over, so from the street it gives nothing away.
Inside there is not much of it. A handful of seats, a bar, and a crowd that mostly knows each other. It suits two or three people dropping in rather than a group arriving together. A terrace on Helsinginkatu opens in summer.
The bar has been part of the Kallio scene for years and the Finnish LGBT service directory still lists it as the small gay bar in the district.
