HELLo! Bar opened in May 2023 at Väike-Karja 1, a minute off Tallinn's main Old Town drag. It calls itself a simple gay bar, and that is the size of it: people come to drink and talk, and the room fills up late.
The two levels run with the name. The bar describes hell upstairs, where the dancing happens, and heaven downstairs for sitting. Guests can ask for the music they want to hear. When it opened, the bar said it would not tolerate arrogance or discrimination from anyone, staff or guests.
The programme leans on drag: Drag Race screenings, go-go competitions, game nights and student parties. The beer selection is good for a room this small and prices are fair for the Old Town.
