For nine days the city hall square, Rådhuspladsen, becomes Pride Square and the whole week is built around it. The parade walks on the Saturday, 21 August.
The scale is worth knowing before you plan a trip. The 2026 edition, which was the organisation's thirtieth, ran 138 separate events over eight days, among them eight free concerts, more than thirty debates on human rights, forty speakers and over a hundred artists. Much of that is free and outdoors on the square, and the rest is spread across venues around the city.
Applications to walk in the parade open in the spring, and so does the open call that fills the programme, so a group or a venue that wants to be part of it has plenty of warning. The organisation also helped set up the Danish national Pride network, and its calendar is where the rest of the country's dates appear first.
