Den Anden Side opened in November 2022 in the cellars under the Palads cinema, an address that has held club nights for forty years. Its stated purpose is a safer space for queer people, for marginalised people and for anyone who does not fit anywhere else.
Two floors: a main room for 450 with a proper sound system, and a 40-capacity space called Den Anden Ende. Two bars, eight unisex toilets, 400 free lockers, an awareness team with its own email address, and a published club policy. Phones stay off the dance floor.
The music is techno and trance, programmed by local collectives, often with political messaging, visuals and installations attached. Queer nights run under their own names, and the club works with Copenhagen Pride and LGBT+ Danmark. It runs workshops and talks alongside the parties.
