Scandinavian Leather Men Copenhagen has been running since 1974 and is one of the largest gay fetish clubs in Europe. It is a members-only club: you join, and then you can visit. Two bars, a large play area, a wet room and a dark room, over several floors of a building the club now owns outright.

The programme is built on dress codes, and they are enforced at the door: leather, rubber, uniform, army, sportswear, denim, construction. Footwear counts. Read the night's code before you set out, because being turned away for trainers is routine.

Phones go in the cloakroom. Drugs mean immediate removal. Condoms are free and the club runs a published safer-space policy. It moved to Lavendelstræde in 2008 after fourteen years on Studiestræde and thirty in a Schacksgade basement, and marked fifty years in 2024 with a written history.
