Amigo is where the night goes when the rest of Copenhagen has closed. It sits on a side street off Vesterbrogade on the Frederiksberg side, opens late and runs to the morning.
It started as a gay bar and is now thoroughly mixed, which the karaoke did most of the work on. The place is split in two: a larger room with the karaoke competitions, themed galas and western nights, and a smaller one that opens later at weekends for dice, cards and backgammon.
The LGBTQ+ crowd is still a large part of it, and the bar is on every Copenhagen queer guide, but nobody here is checking.
