Aarhus Pride is put on by a volunteer working group and it has grown a long way. About 5,000 people came to the first one in 2012. Nearly 14,000 walked in the 2025 parade.
The day is built around that walk through the city. Recent editions have gathered in Musikhusparken, gone through the centre and come back into Rådhusparken, with first-aid volunteers along the route and stewards on the corners. Walking in it costs nothing; a group of more than ten registers with the organisers first, and the parade is a walking one by default rather than a procession of floats.
The association is based with the Frontløberne cultural house on Mejlgade and runs on volunteers, several dozen of them on the day.
