GBAR is the main gay bar and nightclub in Aarhus, on Skolegade in the city centre. It calls itself the city's hottest diversity bar and nightclub, and the crowd is mixed queer rather than men only.
The layout is several small rooms rather than one large floor, and there is a roof terrace, which is where most people end up when the weather allows. There is a dance floor with guest DJs, and the bar does cocktails, beer and shots at prices closer to a student bar than a hotel one.
Drag shows are a regular fixture, sometimes with well known Danish queens, alongside theme nights and karaoke. Expect a door charge on the busier nights.
