Klub 21

Klub 21 is a cellar bar on Římská in Vinohrady, in the middle of Prague's gay quarter. It calls itself the oldest bar in the country still trading at the same address.

The room is small and vaulted, hung with work by local artists, with the bar down one side and seating in the alcoves. Cocktails are the main draw and the list is changed regularly. The kitchen runs to bar snacks, and there is at least one vegan option on the drinks side.

This is a talking and drinking bar, not a dance venue. The crowd is largely Czech and largely regulars, and it works as well for a first date as for a stop before a club night up the road.
