Patra is a queer café and bar on Krymská in Vršovice, spread over two floors. It is the home venue of Mezipatra, the Czech queer film festival, and doubles as a community space.
The ground floor is the bar. The floor above is used for screenings, exhibitions, workshops and readings, and is lent to community groups. Karaoke and club nights fill the evenings, and the place also works as a gallery.
It runs as a café in the afternoon and turns into a bar at night. The name is a pun on the festival's, and the venue's own line is that queer liberates. Expect something closer to a community centre with a bar licence than to a nightlife venue.
