Bar Ikarus is a small gay bar on Nádražní, a minute from Stodolní, the street most of Ostrava's nightlife sits on. It opened in September 2000 and turned twenty-five in 2025. Regulars call it Íčko.
The room is laid out for sitting and talking rather than for a big night out. There are upholstered booths along the wall for smaller groups, a separate small salon that can be taken over for a birthday or a private party, and a compact dance floor. Wi-Fi is available. The bar keeps going later than most places in the centre, which is a good part of why people end up here.
The crowd is mostly local. The bar's own description of itself is short: a nice and friendly gay bar in Ostrava. Table reservations are taken by phone only. The Stodolní tram stop is on the doorstep, served by lines 1, 2, 8, 9 and 18.
