Las Palmas

Las Palmas is the only gay sauna in Brno, out in Královo Pole a few tram stops north of the centre. It has been running for over a decade and says so on its own front page.

Inside there is a dry sauna and a steam room, a whirlpool, showers, and cabins with screens for lying down. The lounge has a fireplace, a large aquarium and a rack of gay magazines from several countries, and there is WiFi and a computer on the internet. Towels come with admission and soap is in the showers. There is a coat check with lockers, a bar with alcoholic and soft drinks, food, and a smoking area. The sauna describes itself as a place to relax, to meet friends and to meet people, in that order.

Two practical things. It does not take cards, so bring cash, and it says so twice on its own site. And the heat and the technology are shut down a good while before closing, so arriving late costs you most of what you came for.
