Caffe bar Kolaž

Kolaž is a small basement bar on Ulica Milana Amruša, a short walk south of Ban Jelačić Square. It works as a café through the day and turns into a bar in the evening, and it is one of the oldest gay-friendly rooms in Zagreb. It marked its eighteenth year in 2023.

The space is tight, bare red brick and low light, with a terrace outside in the warmer months. Music matters here more than anything else, a mix of DJ sets and live spots for local acts; the bar describes itself in three words, "music music music". The crowd comes from the queer and alternative scenes rather than off the tourist trail.

The bar came close to closing in 2020 and a supporters' association raised money to keep it running. Bring cash.
