About

The Maison Arc-en-Ciel de Liège is the city's LGBTQIA+ centre, run by the association Alliàge. It occupies a three-storey house on Rue Hors-Château, in the old town behind the Place du Marché, and it is the largest house of its kind in Wallonia.

Anyone can walk in. Trained volunteers listen and accompany people through coming out, through questions about identity, and through applications for international protection. The house also trains social workers and teachers.

The programme is as much social and cultural as it is support: dances, dinners and walks, a film club, exhibitions, creative workshops and discussion circles. Separate groups meet for women, for seniors, for trans, intersex and asexual people, and for LGBTQIA+ migrants. A magazine comes out every month.

Allies and families are welcome, and most of the meetings of Liège's LGBTQIA+ associations happen in this building.
